The Basque biocompanies Biobide and Pharmakine have recently signed a business cooperation agreement that will enable them to boost their sales, due to the joint action of the sales departments of both enterprises to promote their services. This agreement has been possible thanks to the common goals they have in the field of cancer research and favoured by the good relations between the two Basque biotech companies.

In fact, both Biobide, located in the San Sebastián Technology Park, and Pharmakine, in the Bizkaia Technology Park, provide preclinical evaluation services for new compounds in cancer research for pharmaceutical and biotechnological companies around the world.

Biobide is a pioneering company in the field of specialised biotechnology in the High Throughput Screening of new drugs, whose goal is to introduce a different service-screening concept into the market by using the zebrafish as a model organism. On its part, Pharmakine has consolidated the development of preclinical models in animals in order to study the in vivo effectiveness of anti-tumoral and anti-metastatic drugs.
