CIC bioGUNE allows the best Spanish researchers of hepatic and digestive diseases the use of its technological platforms

The Networked Biomedical Centre for Research into Hepatic and Digestive Diseases (Centro de Investigación Biomédica En Red de Enfermedades Hepáticas y Digestivas – CIBERehd), which is a cluster of the best Spanish scientific groups in the field, will carry out its research using the state-of-the-art facilities of the Co-operative Bioscience Research Centre (Centro de Investigación Cooperativa en Biociencias – CIC bioGUNE), at Bizkaia Technology Park.

This access will be possible through an agreement signed on 14th November at CIC bioGUNE's premises in Derio by the Director General of the Basque research centre, José María Mato, and the Scientific Director of CIBERehd, Jaume Bosch. The agreement enables this network of researchers to use CIC bioGUNE's technological platforms on the same terms as the latter's own scientists, in return for an annual financial contribution of 240,000 euros, which will be used to upgrade these facilities.
