DRO Biosystems and Biomedal have renewed the agreement signed in 2006 by which DRO acquired the licence to use the Cascade protein expression system. Renewal of the agreement allows DRO to incorporate this system into its processes to produce recombinant proteins and provide services to third parties, in culture volumes higher than those initially established.

From its constitution in 2001, DRO Biosystems develops technology applied to the manufacture and purification of therapeutic molecules produced in living organisms (biotherapeutics) and satisfies the demand for biotherapeutics production from biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical laboratories and research groups in universities providing them with contract manufacture of biomolecules batches, production and purification devices, and development and transfer of production processes.
