Faes Farma announces a licensing agreement with world leading pharma company Pfizer. Under the terms of this agreement, Pfizer obtains the rights to market Bilastina in Mexico, while Faes Farma retains the right to commercialise the product directly in Mexico, on co-marketing conditions.
The Bilastina licensing agreement with Pfizer complements those Faes Farma has already signed with several other pharmaceutical companies, including Menarini Group (51 European countries), Vianex (Greece), Merck Serono (India), Hikma (North Africa and Middle East) and Yuhan (South Korea).
Faes Farma continues its expansion through the international marketing of Bilastina, a highly selective anti-histaminic drug with an excellent safety profile, suitable for treating illnesses like allergic rhinitis and chronic urticaria.
Bilastina was developed in-house by Faes Farma and is the leading light of its Respiratory division, one of the company’s preferred research fields. Completion of the clinical trials on Bilastina has boosted the Group’s outlicensing activity.
