Noray Biosciences Group: a new contributor to the Spanish biotechnology sector

The founding shareholders of Noray Bioinformatics have started up the holding company Noraybio Group (Grupo Noraybio, S.L.) – a new bioscience business group which aims to enhance the value of the Spanish biotechnology sector.

To this end, Noray BG has strengthened its research capacity by taking into its capital, pension funds managed by the administrative company ORZA, which has become a thirty-three per cent stakeholder in the group by investing one point eight million Euros. The rest of the capital remains in the hands of the founding shareholders, who are retaining control of the company, applying an innovation management model based on efficiency and on the quest for products to meet the biotechnology market's needs.

Noray BG, as well as having within it Noray Bioinformatics – a biological Information Technology company engaged in the design, development and implementation of software for the bioscience sector – has recently acquired eighty per cent of the capital of Histocell, a company engaged in researching and developing new health products for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
